Elizabeth Frohrip, Associate in Ministry

Liz Frohrip, Salem’s Associate in Ministry, holds dual masters degrees in music and religion, an MM (master of music) in organ performance from the Yale School of Music, and an MAR (Master of arts in religion) from Yale Divinity School.    As an Associate in Ministry (AIM) she is considered a “rostered professional” along with pastors and deaconnesses.

At Salem, Liz directs the music of worship – the Salem choir, the young people’s singing group “Rejoice”, the band, “Spirit”, the after-school music education program “Music in Action”, and the summer music and drama day camp, “Summersong”.   She enjoys planning worship services that incorporate a variety of styles so that everyone has something familiar and something that helps them learn and grow.

Liz also is active in the realms of social ministry, evangelism, and adult education.  Her Wednesday morning Bible study has been active for over 20 years.    As part of the overall ministry of Salem, she visits the sick and homebound and tries to help out wherever needed!

Her hobbies include cooking, walking, playing with cats, and exploring new and different ways of making music.
