The Creed – Holy Spirit

The Third Article of the Creed speaks of our belief in the Holy Spirit, God with us.

In this picture, we see the Holy Spirit “descending like a dove.” Matt. 3:17.

Directly below are the “fruits of the Spirit” as named by Paul in his letter to the Galations, 5:22,23.

At the bottom are the “tongues of fire” (Acts 2:15) which on the Day of Pentecost rested on and filled with the Holy Spirit each of those who were present at the gathering fifty days after Easter and the first day of the Church’s life.
