XIV. The Commandments – Love to Neighbor

Depicted in this window is the Second Table of the Law, comprising the last seven commandments which focus on “love to our neighbor.”

Luther states in his explanation of the Second Table of the Law, “Everyone is our neighbor,” and then quotes Act 17:26, “And he made from one every nation to live on all the face of the earth…”

Illustrating this commandment is the instructor teaching the children with words from the forth Commandment, “Honor your father and your mother.” Exodus 20:12.
